Today I wanted to share with you the idea of always testing the waters in your life.
What made me think of this topic today, was how I decided to start to implement compound exercises and workouts into my routine again.
In the past, I have noticed that by doing compound exercises it worked great for strength gain, but not muscle mass. Now after about 6 months of only doing a few compound exercises per week, I am going back and testing the waters of focusing mostly on compound exercises and seeing if they are going to work better for me while bulking and bodybuilding.
The real topic of this blog isn't about me and going back to compound exercises, but rather about how testing different things in your life can be beneficial to your personal growth.
Maybe there are things in your life that you have tried before that haven't worked, but now that you have grown these same things that didn't work in the past might be extremely beneficial to you where you are now in life.
How can testing new things positively impact your life?
As an example, lets say you are currently working out and are noticing that you have hit a plateau. Even though the routine you were using may have been beneficial to you in the past it isn't working right now in your life.
By testing a new workout routine or program you will be able to test and find what type of routine is going to work best for you right now in your life.
Obviously this is just one example of how trying something new can benefit your life. This concept can apply to pretty much any area of life to help you achieve the goals that you have set yourself to achieve.
As a bonus it also adds a sense of joy since you are trying something new and exiting.
Closing thoughts.
I hope you gained massive value from reading this short blog today. I have noticed that testing the waters in our lives can have a huge impact on our personal growth in life, and can also affect how fast that personal growth can happen.
I recommend you use this strategy if you feel like you have hit a wall in certain areas of your life, and to switch things up. Yes getting out of your comfort zone and trying something new can be scary at times, but it is required for your success.
